"My favorite part about working for Finney County is the freedom I have to learn and try new things. We get to be innovative and come up with ideas to change the game."
|Trey was born in Missouri but moved around a bit as a self-proclaimed "Army Brat". His family settled in Finney County and Trey decided to stay as an adult. He began his career with Finney County as GIS supervisor in 2006.|
Trey oversees a department of two employees, and they do a whole lot more than merely print maps of the County. Trey maintains the large database system that houses all GIS information. He collects data in the field as well and makes sure all information is always up to date. In 2014, Trey and his department implemented the web-based data system, to ensure that all information is always in real-time and always at your fingertips.
"As I came to understand the implications that geographic information can have, I wanted to make it my goal to give citizens and employees up-to-date information so they can always make informed decisions."
