Diversion

Program Objective
This program offers juveniles an alternative to criminal prosecution for first and second time non-violent offenders. All applications are filed through the County Attorney’s office and they determine who is eligible for diversion. The 25th Judicial District Youth Services administers this program.

If placed on diversion, an assessment is completed to determine individual needs and appropriate services. If a client is put on diversion they sign conditions for diversion and follow the rules of this program. If they are successful, they can be terminated and the charges that they had will be dismissed and no further action by the County Attorney will be pursued.
