COVID Relief Funding (CARES/SPARK)
Grant funding is available for Finney County businesses and organizations who have been affected by the challenges and changes brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Finney County has received $10,924,655.00 in Coronavirus Relief Funds (CRF) from the State of Kansas through the Federal CARES Act. Finney County will leverage these funds to address immediate health and economic needs with the goal of creating a better, stronger future for our communities.
Affected businesses and organizations in Finney County may make a request for reimbursement of expenditures made in efforts to combat COVID-19 at your business or organization. Grant funds are also available for future spending needs in the continued effort of combating the spread of Coronavirus in Finney County.
There are two phases to the grant program:
PHASE 1 |
Reimbursement to local government entities, non-profit organizations, school districts, and higher education institutions for expenditures made between March 1, 2020 and July 31, 2020 in efforts to combat COVID-19 at that business/organization. |
This program is expected to run from August through November 2020.The cut-off date for submitting reimbursement requests through this program is November 5, 2020. |
How to apply for reimbursement: |
Download and complete the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and submit to spark@finneycounty.org using the submission form below to upload your filled and signed MOU. The Finney County Administrator will review and approve received MOUs. You will be contacted if your MOU is accepted. Once accepted, you will be provided an Organization ID, which you can use to access the Reimbursement Portal (link found below). View the Webinar on how to use the Reimbursement Portal. |
