Sales Requirements

Herbicides purchased through this Noxious Weeds Department program are for noxious weed control only. We can not sell herbicides for use on any general weed control of non-noxious weeds. Herbicides are sold on Tuesdays 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Noxious Weed Facility at the corner of Anderson Road and Maple Street The noxious weeds in Finney County are:

  • Field bindweed
  • Bur-ragweed
  • Johnsongrass
  • Canada thistle
  • Musk thistle
  • Hoary cress
  • Leafy spurge
  • Russian knapweed
  • Sericea lespedeza


Customer price is a cost-share price whereby the County pays for 25% of the cost of the herbicide and the landowner, tenant, or homeowner pays the rest of the cost. You are essentially purchasing the herbicide for 75% of the wholesale price through this program, plus 10% for storage and handling. Government price is the wholesale price which government entities must pay through us.

Payment Information

Cash sales should be for the correct amount. We keep very little change at our warehouse. We do accept local checks and landowner checks. We do not accept credit cards.

Credit sales must be pre-approved. Payment is due 30 days after the sale. Failure to pay within the due date will result in no future credit, no exceptions. Please pay promptly to avoid credit problems.
