The Finney County Sheriff's Office
The Finney County Sheriff's
Office shares the Finney County Law Enforcement Center with the
Garden City Police Department on the main floor with Municipal Court
and District courtroom lower level. The Finney County Jail is located
on the top floor.
The Sheriff's
Office consists of the Sheriff, Undersheriff, Jail Administrator,
and a Captain overseeing a staff of 86 people assigned to ten different
divisions:
The Sheriff,
Kevin Bascue, has ultimate
management of the department and full responsibility to provide
consistent and professional service to the citizens of the community.
In a county and organization of our size, he must employee the help
of a quality staff to meet these needs and goals.
The Undersheriff
is John Andrews who
is second in command. He assists the Sheriff in the daily management
and operations of the Sheriff's Office and assumes full management
of operations in the Sheriff's absence. He is the immediate supervisor
of the Patrol Captain, Technology Administrator, Investigations
Lieutenant, Warrant Lieutenant, Senior Office Deputy, and Senior
Civil Process Server.
The Administrative
Aide is Gaye Beasley. She
is responsible for all administrative support functions of the department.
This includes, in part, management of personnel files; receiving,
recording and reporting officer work, vacation, sick, and training
hours; and management of a vast library of training aids.
The Administrative Aide does not
have any supervisory duties and is under the direct supervision of the Sheriff.
