Responsibilities and Duties
Public Works is responsible for the County’s infrastructure consisting of over 1,225 miles of roadway stretching across 1,302 square miles of land.

Finney County Road System
The Road System is made up of 232 miles of asphalt roads, 995 miles of gravel roads, 40 bridges and numerous other drainage structures. Our primary responsibilities are maintenance and construction of roads and bridges within Finney County.

Public Works Employees and Divisions
The Department has 46 full-time employees working in Administration, Engineering / Surveying, Traffic Control, Fleet Maintenance, Road & Bridge, Utilities, and Noxious Weeds.
