Currently both K-9s are certified through the United States Police Canine Association and are members of U.S.P.C.A. Region 14.

Each K-9 team is certified in the areas of handler protection, evidence searches, tracking, building searches, field searches, suspect apprehension, obedience, agility, and narcotic detection.
