Functions of The County Appraiser's Office
The function of the County Appraiser is to
develop a listing of all personal and real properties for taxation purposes. The
Appraisers Office is supervised by the County Commissioners. One should note the Director
of Property Valuation has the right to assume the responsibilities and duties of the
County Appraiser Office if the County Appraiser does not follow statutory guidelines set
forth by legislation. Property Valuation is a unit of regulatory measure that overseas
each and every county in the State of Kansas.
