Welcome to the Finney County Emergency Management/Work Safety home page.
Our Mission
Emergency Management is responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive emergency program for Finney County. This Plan addresses disaster mitigation, planning and preparedness, response to, and recovery from large scale emergencies and disasters that may affect our local area. The intent of this program is to minimize the impact of disasters, provide and support necessary disaster operations to protect the public and reduce damage, and to enable an effective disaster recovery.
Work Safety Training
Work Safety training topics include:
- American Red Cross First Aid/CPR (8 hours)
- American Red Cross First Aid/CPR Review (4 hours)
- Defensive Driving (8 hours)
- Coaching the Experienced Driver (4 hours)
- Misc. Safety Training (Upon Request)
- Hazardous Materials Awareness (Upon Request)
Persons that hold valid American Red Cross First Aid/CPR certification have the option of enrolling in either the 8 hour course or the 4 hour First Aid/CPR review. Participants that have completed the standard 8 hour Defensive Driving Course (DDC-8) within the past 4 years, have the option of enrolling in the 6 hour “Coaching the Experienced Driver 4+2” course that is now available as a DDC-8 substitute.
